A chapel over 250 years old with nearly flawless acoustics, a second worship space completed in 2005, a 10 rank mechanical-action organ which perfectly fills the historic church and a second mechanical-action organ in the new building, four sacred choirs dedicated to the ministry of music and to giving their best voice to God . . . these are contributing characteristics of the music at St. Peter’s Church in the Great Valley. And all to the glory, and worship, of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Music, like the structured prayer and the rituals of our liturgy, helps us focus our minds on the Divine. Those who feel moved to make a joyful noise unto the Lord find a happy home at St. Peter’s, whether in one of our choirs or by joining in the great hymnody and psalmody of the Church from the congregation. Each week in our worship, we embrace our Anglican musical roots while exploring the best of American and world sacred music.
