Removal of the old Allen digital organ

For over twenty years our Allen digital organ has performed faithfully through literally thousands of worship services and parish musical events. But every instrument has its time. The decision to finally replace the old Allen electronic organ with a hand-crafted Bigelow pipe organ was met with much joy and anticipation from musicians and parishioners alike.

However, before the new organ could be installed the loft of the sanctuary had to be be substantially reinforced for the increased weight of the pipes. Then the old instrument needed to be be carefully removed from its position in the loft and prepared for its journey to Rochester, NY where, after rehabilitation, it will serve Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
