Highlights of Beacon Article 2018 – Darby Easter Dinner

Join us to share Easter joy with the people of Darby, whom we know through our Food Ministry.   With your help we will provide all of the supplies for an Easter Dinner for those who are challenged by poverty.

Parishoners:  Please pick up a bag in church, take and return one with the items on the grocery list .

The Food Ministry : Our volunteers will add a ham or roasted chicken to each bag along with an Easter flower.  The generous funds from the Alternative Gift Market will fund these additional supplies and deliver them on Good Friday along with an Easter flower.

Recipients:  Easter dinner supplies will be delivered to Darby Mission. Over the past two years St. Peter’s volunteers have enjoyed getting to know the residents of Darby by working with this organization to cook and serve the “Darby Dinners” throughout the year.

Mission: The mission is the coming together of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania, Episcopal Community Services (ECS) and Darby Borough to provide community to neighbors in need of food and fellowship.   The mission is led by The Rev. Doris Rajagopal and uses space in the Darby Recreation Center.
