Mwamba Church Ministries International
Mwamba transforms lives in the United States and in Kitale, Kenya by building mutual partnerships that enhance human capacity through education, sharing resources, and cultural exchange.
I am so grateful to get this chance to greet you in the name of Jesus Christ. I am born from a family which is unable to pay my fees. My father died and I remained with my mother in a Church compound in a remote district in Kenya. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Mwamba Ministries International, friends, and other partners for your continued sponsorship of my whole fees which started in the year 2001 up to now. I am so grateful and I know that at the end of my learning I'll be able to realize a dream burning in my heart which will support my family and the community around me—A young woman, recipient of a scholarship
Mwamba Church Ministries International:
Is a partnership between churches in the Philadelphia area and the Anglican Diocese of Kitale, located in the northwest corner of Kenya.
Transforms the lives of teenage girls through a scholarship program; for $350 a year, a donor may send a young woman to high school.
Promotes women’s empowerment and development by training women for literacy and education workshops.
Develops church leadership in the Diocese of Kitale through scholarships for seminarians, salaries for lay ministers, and establishing a resource center for Christian education and research.
We continue to work to empower Kenyan churches by promoting church leadership, supporting evangelism and literacy outreach, and promoting women's development and teenage girls' education. We have provided school fees for more than fifteen high school girls, purchased a car for the Mother's Union to help with a rural mission that trains women for development, and helped make it possible for several clergy to receive seminary training—Dr. Sharon Gramby-Sobukwe, Chairperson of Mwamba
Transform a young woman’s life—donate a $350 scholarship for her education. Though primary education is free in Kenya, many young women are unable to attend high school because they cannot afford the yearly fee of $350. Please consider donating some or all of the cost of a scholarship and change a young woman’s life. If interested, please click here.
