For over three hundred years people have climbed this high hill within the Great Valley seeking God in this truly historic place. The means of travel have changed, but the purpose of the journey, and what seekers have found here, have not. May you find God here and be found by Him.

Jamie McArdle

Jamie, a native of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, grew up all over in an Air Force family. She took degrees in Communication Studies and Geology at the California State University at Sacramento, where she met her husband Steve Hartman. Since then, Jamie has worked in environmental management, database design and management, and web design, while participating in children's and music ministries in each of her four parishes.

During the 2005-2006 school year, Jamie helped to initiate St. Peter's Morning Out Program (on hiatus during the 2008-2009 school year), first as assistant and then as lead teacher. She designed and furnished the Morning Out room, an age-appropriate and stimulating space for St. Peter's youngest "students" and their counterparts in St. Peter's parish, when the Barn opened in January 2006. St. Peter's Lambs Day Camp, a new program at St. Peter's Preschool in 2006, was Jamie's first development project as director; the gifts of a parent's idea, a teacher's aide's eagerness to create the camp, and the enthusiastic support of parishioners and Preschool parents have come together to extend the outreach of St. Peter's Preschool through the summer months.

Jamie and Steve have three young children, one of whom is a student at St. Peter's Preschool, and have been parishioners at St. Peter's Church since 2004. Jamie feels blessed to play a part in St. Peter's mission to the wider community, particularly through the nurture of the children of St. Peter's Preschool.
