Paul was a polarizing figure in the early Church and he remains a tough customer today. He was a Pharisee, a strict adherent to the Law, and he considered the early Christians to be dangerous heretics. He was a man of action, putting those crazy Christians behind bars whenever he could. So how did he go on to become the Apostle to the Gentiles? This week we hear the story of his conversion and some of the stories of his converting others, and we learn more about Paul’s conviction that Jesus came to save all humanity, not just the Jews.
This week is our spring Annual Meeting, so, to allow as many Sunday school teachers as possible to attend the meeting, we will be combining our classes. Paul’s mission was to bring the Good News to as much of the world as he could reach; our kids will have a number of activities and projects to work on that will help them spread the Good News in our community.
