Our study of Listening for the Heartbeat of God concludes this Sunday, with our discussion of chapter 6, “Two Ways of Listening: John and Peter.” We will meet as usual at 10:20am in the Barn.
Our introduction to the Celtic tradition has been illuminating and, for some of us, transformative. It has opened up new ways of thinking about our relationship with God and God’s creation; at the same time it has offered an implicit critique of the Roman tradition that has been so instrumental in shaping our Church. This week, Newell asks us how we might meld the best in both traditions for our Church today.
What could that look like at St. Peter’s? In the wider Church?
How might we go forward from here, building on what we have discovered about the Celtic tradition and its revitalization of our spiritual lives?
